Digital Storytelling Assignment
Digital Storytelling is the practice of using computer-based tools to tell stories. Since we have discussed about several towers in the world, I would like everyone to finish a digital storytelling assignment on one of the famous towers in the world. (Below is an example I created about some towers, each one you will select one tower from our book to talk about in this assignment).
1. Watch the example I have provided below, think about one tower you want to talk about.
2. Once you have picked a tower, try to dig as more detailed information as you can. In your digital storytelling, you shall be able to describe the main elements of the tower, including its location, history, height, weight, interesting facts, etc.
3. There are many websites or tools you can choose to finish the assignment, such as Kerpoof, Xtranormal, Empressr, bubblr…My example was created with the Xtranormal, feel free to choose your tool.
4. Making your storytelling creative, interactive and fun. Parents are very much welcome to get involved in your children’s projects.
5. After finishing your script, please share it with your classmate and do peer editing. Your story should be approximately one minute long.
6. Your digital storytelling as the final assignment is due December 12. Good Luck!
Following is my example; please feel free to email me with any questions.
